Shaykh Darani (Allah ’s mercy be upon him) said that he heard from the Shayoukh of Hadith that du‘as (supplications) are answered when the names of the people of Badr are mentioned. He added that it’s a tried and tested practice (mujarrab). Others have said that many of the Awliya (those close to God) only attained sainthood (wilaya) by reading their names and doing Tawassul through them.
