I've recently in (Ramadhan 2011 been given 'Ijaza-Permission of Majmu'ah salawat ur-Rasul by Khwaja 'Abdur Rehman Chohravi, My 'ijaza is from Pir Muhammad Tayyib-ur-Rehman Qadri who is the grandson of Khalifah Khwaja Fazal-Ur-Rahman Qadria Bhera Panrian Shareef who hand wrote the 5 volume set salawat, its the largest salawat book ever. Khwaja 'Abdur Rehman Chohravi was gifted with 'ilm-laduni(-Knowledge Directly From Allah). This is the Knowledge Sayyiduna Khidr a.s has been given as he is alive even today. Some links about to read about 'ilm-laduni-1, 'ilm-laduni-2, 'ilm-laduni-3

The book was all taught via 'ilm-laduni(-Knowledge directly from Allah) to Khwaja 'Abdur Rehman Chohravi who himself was Ummi-an illiterate man, meaning he was unschooled in islamic sciences, thus the book was dictated to this Khalifa Khwaja Fazal-Ur-Rehman Qadri, who wrote the whole book and then passed the 'ijaza to his son Pir Mohib-Ur-Rehman Qadri who then passed it on, to his son Pir Muhammad Tayyib-ur-Rehman Qadri who i have taken the 'ijaza from, some of the text is also in ancient words that cannot be translated that are said to be Ibrahimic or old Aramaic language(over 2-3000 years old languages) interwoven into the text as well.

It is a gift from Allah Sub'hanahu wa Ta'ala

Majmu'ah Salawaat u'r Rasul of Hadhrat Mawlana Khwaja 'Abdur Rahman Chohravi, QaddasAllahu Sirrahu'l 'Azeez is a gift given to him by Allah Ta'ala Himself. It is a compilation of salawaat and salaams on our Holy Prophet Sayyidina wa Mawlana Hadhrat Muhammad al-Mustafa Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam, in 30 chapters.

Each chapter of 48 pages (one of which is the title page), weaves the Asma Allah u'l Husna (The Most Beautiful Names of Allah Ta'ala), Salawaat u'r Rasul (blessings on the Holy Prophet) and dua (invocation) around a particular theme. For example, the theme of the first chapter is "Fee Noorihi wa Zuhoorihi" (On the Holy Prophet's Light And Manifestation); that of the second, "Fee Salawaatihi wa Salaamihi" (On Blessings And Salutations On Him); of the third, "Fee Badnihi wa A'dhaa-ihi" (On His Blessed Body And Limbs) and so on. Each chapter begins with Surah al-Fateha and ends with Surah Ikhlas. However, before Surah al-Fateha, Allah Ta'ala is invoked for the sake of Bismillah. For example, Chapter 7, "Fee Asma-ihi wa Sifaatihi" (On His Blessed Names And Attributes) begins with the following dua:

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
Allahumma innee as-aluka bi-Asmaa-ika Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
Wa bi-Asmaai Habibika Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
Wa bi-Asmaai Jamee-i Anbiyaaika wa Rusulika Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
Wa bi-Asmaai 'Ibaadikassaaliheena Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem.

In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful
O Allah I beg of you through the means of Your Names
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
and through the means of the names of Your beloved Prophet
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
and through the means of the names of all Your Prophets and Messengers
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
and through the means of the names of all Your pious servants
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem.

The beloved Prophet loves him
For the sake of Bismillah, Allah Ta'ala made Shaykh 'Abdur Rahman Chohravi a Qutb, a great saint in Tariqa tu'l Qadiriyya. His amamah (prayer turban) was of Asma u'l Husna, his fingerprints were of Salawaat u'r Rasul and his lips and tongue were an unceasing chant of dua. The Holy Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam made him his very own, Shaykh 'Abdulqadir Jilani QaddasAllahu Sirrahu'l 'Azeez embraced him, and Nabi Nuh Alaihi'ssalaam lent him his Ark and taught him the verse:

Bismillahi majrayhaa wa mursaahaa

In the Name of Allah shall be its course and its anchoring (11:41).

He could see that on the Ark was written:

Laa Ilaha Illallah Muhammad u'r Rasulullah

None is to be worshipped but Allah. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

He boarded the Ark with Bismillah and at once inscribed Asma u'l Husna on its sails, Salawaat u'r Rasul on its oars and dua on its masts. The saints who were gathered at the riverbank all joined in the dua together with thousands of angels. The anchor was drawn up after the recitation of Asma u'l Husna which filled 14 pages. The fishes joined in the Salawaat and Salaams and the birds chanted Allahu and Ahad, the blessed Names of Allah most dear to the Shaykh. The river was smooth and swift flowing and when it came to a gorge, the Shaykh was in full control, the only one who understood such deep spiritual mysteries. As the Ark splashed into the sea, with waves rising on both the sides, it formed the Name "Allah" in Arabic and all aboard were drenched with river and sea water all together and the drenching was Rahmah (Mercy) of Allah Ta'ala, each drop representing a thousand salawaat. The sea would not be left out either and offered Hizb u'l Bahr of Imam Abu'l Hasan Shazili Rahmatullahi 'alaih, the malaika (angels) hummed the hamd, azkaar and awraad from Wird u'l Latif and the Ratib of Mawlana al-Haddad, Naf'anAllahu Bih and the blood in the veins of the rowers flowed with dua. Enough Asma-Allah, Salawaat and Dua was recited to fill 1410 fullscap pages in 2 volumes of 15 chapters each. The Ark came safely ashore with the following salaat:

Sallallahu 'alaihi wa 'alaa aalihi wa azwaajihi
Wa dhurriyyaatihi wa 'itratihi wa as'haabihi ajma'een.

Allah's blessings on him, his family, his wives,
his descendants, his offspring and his companions, all of them,
Rady Allahu 'Anhum.

It has the musk of the Qur'an
The Majmu'ah is full of verses from the Holy Qur'an. For example, Chapter 19 titled "Fee Ayaatihi wa Bishaaratihi" (On The Verses Of The Qur'an And Glad Tidings On Him) begins with 127 salawaat, musk-scented with verses of the Holy Qur'an, four of which are:

Allahumma Salli wa Sallim 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-in
Wa 'alaa aali Sayyidina Muhammad-i
Nilladhee Qaal'Allahu fee haqqihee
Qul In Kuntum Tuhibboonallaha Fattabi-'oonee Yuhbibkumullah

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad
and on the family of Sayyidina Muhammad,
for whose sake Allah said (in the Holy Qur'an):
Say (O Prophet), if you love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you. (3:31)

Allahumma Salli wa Sallim 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-i
Nilladhee Qaal'Allahu fee haqqihee
Wa aqeemussalaata wa aatuzzakaata wa atee'urrasoola la'allakum turhamoon

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad,
for whose sake Allah said (in the Holy Qur'an):
And establish salah and give zakah and obey the Messenger
so that you may obtain mercy (24:56)

Allahumma Salli wa Sallim 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-in
Wa 'alaa aali Sayyidina Muhammad-i
Nilladhee Qaal'Allahu fee haqqihee
Laqad kaana lakum fee Rasoolillahi uswatun hasanah

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad
and on the family of Sayyidina Muhammad,
for whose sake Allah said (in the Holy Qur'an):
Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent examplar (33:21)

Allahumma Salli wa Sallim 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-in
Wa 'alaa aali Sayyidina Muhammad-i
Nilladhee Qaal'Allahu fee haqqihee
Innallazeena yubaayi'oonaka
Innamaa yubaayi'oonallaha
Yadullahi fawqa aydeehim

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad
and on the family of Sayyidina Muhammad,
for whose sake Allah said (in the Holy Qur'an):
Surely those who swear allegiance to you,
do but swear allegiance to Allah;
the hand of Allah is over their hands (48:10).

Once he has presented all the verses of the Holy Qur'an Kareem specifically related to the beloved Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam, he offers the Dua-u Khatmu'l Qur'an (Supplication on Completion of Qur'an Recitation).

Shaykh 'Abdur Rahman Chohravi achieves comprehensiveness in this instance as he does throughout the kitab by reminding us in the following salaat that indeed, the noble Prophet Muhammad al-Mustafa Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam has been glowingly described not only in the Holy Qur'an, but in all other revealed books as well.

Allahumma Salli wa Sallim 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-i
Nilladhee Qaal'Allahu Ta'ala fee haqqi awsaafihee
Fi'z Zaboori li Dawood-a 'Alaihissalam
Wa fi't Tawraati li Musa 'Alaihissalam
Wa fi'l Injili li 'Isa 'Alaihissalam
Wa fee kulli suhufin Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam.

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad
whose noble qualities Allah the Exalted described
in the Zabur He gave to Nabi Dawood, peace be upon him,
and in the Tawraat He gave to Nabi Musa, peace be upon him,
and in the Injil He gave to Nabi 'Isa, peace be upon him,
and in all the scriptures,
may Allah's blessings and peace be on him.

It has the fragrance of Hadith

Each chapter is also full of Hadith Shareef. For example, chapter 14 titled "Fee Qaalihi wa Maqaalihi" (On What He Said) devotes the first few pages to 225 salawaat woven around the blessed Hadith Shareef, one of which is:

Allahumma Salli 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-in
Wa 'alaa aali Sayyidina Muhammad-i nil qaa-ili
Innamal a'maalu binniyyaati

O Allah! Bestow blessings on Sayyidina Muhammad
and on the family of Sayyidina Muhammad who said:
"Truly, actions are to be judged by intentions".

The Hadith Shareef in this salaat has been narrated by Sayyidina 'Umar ibn Khattab Rady Allahu 'Anhu and is the first Hadith Shareef reported in the Sahih (Authentic) of Imam Bukhari, Riyadh u's Saleheen (Gardens Of The Righteous) of Imam an-Nawawi and Mishkaat u'l Masaabeeh (Niche For Lamps) of Imam Waliuddin Abu 'Abdullah Mahmud, Rahmatullahi 'alaihim ajma'een.

Chapter 26 titled "Fee Khuluqihi wa Akhlaaqihi" (On His Moral Character and Noble Behaviour), is also full of salawaat blended with Hadith related to the topic, three of which are:

Allahumma Salli 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-i nillazee qaala
Inna athqala shay'in yoodha'u fee meezaani'l mu'mini yauma'l qiyaamati
Khuluqun hasanun
Wa Inn'Allaha yabgidhu'l faahisha'l baziyy

O Allah! Bestow blessings on Sayyidina Muhammad who said:
"Nothing is weightier in the scales of a believer on the Day of Judgement
Than his good behaviour.
Allah detests a person who is obscene and shameless".

The Hadith Shareef in this salaat has been narrated by Hadhrat Abu Darda Rady Allahu 'Anhu and is reported in Tirmidhi and Riyadh u's Saleheen, (with slightly different wording).

Allahumma Salli 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-i nillazee
Sa'ala rajulun-Nabiyya Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam
Ganaman bayna jabalayni fa a'taahu iyyaahu
Fa ataa qaumahoo faqaala ay qaumi aslimoo
Fa Wallahi inna Muhammad-an layu'tee 'ataa-an
Maa yakhaafu'l faqra

O Allah! Bestow blessings on Sayyidina Muhammad
who, Allah's blessings and peace be on him,
was once asked by someone to give him a flock of sheep between the mountains
and he gave that to him.
That person came to his community and said: "O people! Embrace Islam.
By Allah. Truly, Muhammad gives away so much as if he does not fear poverty".

The Hadith Shareef in this salaat has been narrated by Hadhrat Anas bin Malik Rady Allahu 'Anhu and is reported in Muslim.

Allahumma Salli wa Sallim 'alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-in
Wa 'alaa aali Sayyidina Muhammad-i nilladhee
Maa su'ila shay-an qattu faqaala laa

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad
and on the family of Sayyidina Muhammad
who never said "no" whenever he was asked for anything.

The Hadith Shareef in this salaat has been narrated by Hadhrat Jabir bin 'Abdullah Rady Allahu 'Anhu and is reported in Muslim.
